• the unexpected drama..
7.30am Melb time we received Jet* text message that JQ7 had delayed its departure time due to the delaying aircraft. So instead of departing at 12noon it would be departing at 3.30pm! This simply just meant we would miss our connecting flight in Singapore to HCMC, and we might have to sleep on the floor in ChangI airport as well!!!? Hmmmm🤔..not happy Jan!
還沒起床就收到航空公司的簡訊，我們的航班JQ7去新加坡延遲起飛3小時半！因為飛機遲到😳。。啊 這真是不妙 我們還要接著轉機去胡志明市呢！查一查 當晚已沒航班可以接，看起來也許得在章怡機場睡地板了，渡假的心情瞬間蒙上一層灰色～ 有點後悔沒有決定去Tasmania了=_=
• the 2nd episode !!!!
At the check in counter in Melb airport, Angie's passport was not valid for 6 months!!! It was 3 days old passed the date! We were all shocked really 😱😨😦😶....facing the risk being rejected to go in to Vietnam! It took quite some time for the ground staff to variefy with the authorities to ensure Angie could enter Vietnam & Thailand! Lucky enough we had all our Vietnamese visas applied & granted in our passports, and that really helped for this issue I guess. Turned out we got through the Customs at both ends without any more hassles. However we still needed to find out in Singapore if Angie was allowed to get out of the airport to have a night in the arranged hotel? Or she had to remind inside.
墨爾本機場櫃檯。妹妹護照六個月有效日期居然超過三天！老天。。我們怎會如此粗心！ （上上次回台灣 姐姐的護照過期我們也沒發現！ 而且當時還蠻常用到護照😣,真糟糕的爸爸媽媽）地勤人員花了很多工夫幫我們確認後續問題，好加在 我們早已把越南簽證伸請好，也因為只超過三天有效期的六個月， 因此OK。佛祖保佑啊⋯⋯冥冥中註定這一場即將展開的歡喜劇。 總之，我們家常出一些岔子 集起來也可以拍一齣the Modern Family了。。
• unexpected night in Grand Mecure
As the consequences of the delayed flight, we joined in the long queue again at the Transit Counter in ChangI airport to find out what would our first night fate to be like.... We knew we were all booked in to the hotel by Jet*, and the good news was Angie was allowed to join us for the night in the hotel! When we finally found out we were to stay at Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy that was the most unexpected delight of the night & it almost made up all the time lost from the delayed JQ7 drama occurred . (Grand Mercure to us Gamble lot has claimed a very special place in our hearts since we resided in one of those while living in BKK.) It was about 11.30pm when we finally arrived the hotel. No more queuing business for the day! All the passengers also received a complimentary dinner followed on our arrival which was needed & much appreciated. We fell asleep soon our heads landed on the pillows. What a long day!
新加坡機場轉機櫃臺，加入長長的隊伍，我們等待發現這一晚的新結局。因為妹妹護照問題，在墨爾本機場我們被告知她有可能不能被允許出新加坡海關加入已經安排的酒店，所以我們決定果真如此 我會留下來跟她睡機場 爸爸跟姐姐去睡酒店。所以我們知道妹妹可以出海關時 我們都好開心一家人可以一起。當我們知道我們下榻的酒店是Mercure時更是歡喜 因為對我們家來說 Mercure就是家！到了酒店都快午夜了，還招待我們這些無奈的旅人免費晚餐。。一整天耗下來肚子還真餓了呢，放下行李我們直奔3樓餐廳。餐廳裡吃飯的都是JQ7的旅客 一路這樣過來大家都是熟面孔了 哈（苦笑）。
• ChangI Airport ..again
So we basically spent 5 hrs in the hotel room before we returned back to catch our flight to Saigon. It was pretty good in Changi airport, flowing smoothly & fast. After the Custom it was the duty free, and it was all done up ready for Christmas. Very Christmassy compared to Melb airport! A huge Christmas tree stood there decorated with the Pokemon balls :D. Well it must be still the trend here.
與新加坡短短5個小時的解逅都在夜色裡發生。我們一早就得返回機場登機。一切都很順利，通過海關後走入非常耶誕的免稅商店，比墨爾本更厲害好多倍。隨即 一顆高大的耶誕樹印入眼簾，仔細一看，滿滿的精靈球！！ 看來今年主體是精靈寶可夢。。我順便抓了幾隻寶！哈 （開心）。
Well finally , See U in Saigon。。。越南見！
